Charitable Solicitation License - Introduction and Purpose
State law requires charities that either solicit or receive charitable contributions in Michigan to obtain a charitable solicitation license from the Department of Attorney General's Charitable trust Section.
Some organizations such as Church groups and various others are exempt from the requirement.
The Solicitation License is an annual license and must be renewed prior to July of each year.
